Advice on Reclaimed Building Materials

This web based advice section provides practical guidance on reclaiming and on how to make full use of the reclamation and salvage industry in the UK.

It is split into three sections:

Using Reclaimed Materials - for online advice on how to to use, specify or obtain reclaimed materials.  

Finding Homes for Reclaimed Materials - if you have unwanted materials or are part of a demolition process and wish to reclaim rather than chuck. 

Directory of Reclaimers - a database of key contacts for reclaiming and re-using materials, both suppliers and takers, users and sources.  

From August 2006, BioRegional is able to offer a comprehensive reclamation service to develop a culture of maximising reclamation and re-use in the UK construction industry. Through advice, key contacts and answers to frequently asked questions we aim to provide a quick overview on how to reclaim and reuse.

BioRegional are currently piloting the services described on this website with a selection of demolition contractors, corporate and local authority clients in London and SE England.
